Developer Advocate
About the Role
We are looking for a Developer Advocate who is a developer first and a marketer second. Your mission is to make Storecode's open-source tools the de-facto standard for our niche. You will write technical tutorials, speak at conferences, and hang out in Discord/Twitter to help developers succeed. You need to be empathetic to the developer experience and capable of explaining complex concepts simply.
About the Team
You will sit at the intersection of Marketing, Engineering, and Product. We don't measure DevRel by 'leads generated' but by 'community trust earned'. We play the long game. You will have a large degree of autonomy to choose the channels and content formats that work best.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality technical content (blog posts, videos, sample apps).
- Represent Storecode at developer conferences and meetups globally.
- Manage and moderate our community Discord server.
- Provide feedback to the Product team based on community struggle points.
- Maintain our public documentation and ensure it is world-class.
Requirements
- Passion for teaching and community building.
- Experience writing technical blog posts (please share your blog!).
- Comfortable with public speaking (live coding is a plus).
- Solid proficiency with React and the modern JavaScript ecosystem.
- Self-starter who can work effectively with minimal supervision.
Benefits
- Generous travel budget for conferences and speaking engagements.
- Top-tier recording equipment and home studio setup budget.
- Wellness stipend for gym, therapy, or meditation apps.
- Sabbatical program after 4 years of tenure.
Legal & EEO Statement
This position may require travel up to 30% of the time. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check. Storecode is an at-will employer.
